How to Get Rid of Warts on Hands with Homemade Remedies

Warts are an unsightly skin condition. It manifests as external noncancerous tumors that occur mainly on the hands and feet, often causing itchiness. They are not painful or dangerous.

Warts occur because of a virus called papillomavirus. This virus affects the outer layer of skin and enters the body through skin lesions, however superficial they may be. Therefore, the warts can be passed to others and can also be transmitted by sharing various hygiene products such as towels, toothbrushes or razors.

Warts can be treated using either herbal methods or medical methods. The herbal treatments don’t eliminate the virus from the body, while the medical ones are designed to combat also the virus not only the warts.

Natural treatments:

Buff the warts with celandine juice or tincture of celandine for 2-3 times a day. The treatment lasts four weeks, and the warts will dry and fall.
Soak a cotton pad in dandelion juice or decoction of wormwood (50 grams in a glass of water) and dab the warts several time a day, for a week. This is a  very effective method of removing warts.
A different treatment that is applied directly to warts is made from basil seeds crushed and mixed with butter.
You can also use a tincture obtained by combining white cedar and juniper sprig in vodka, in the ratio of 1:5. The duration of maceration is three weeks, and the obtained tincture is used to brush the warts 2 times a day. The treatment must be followed for up to 5 weeks.
Although the natural treatments shown above are really effective, they just remove the effect, not the cause. It is advisable to visit a doctor, because there is a wide range of market products that fight the virus that causes the warts.
